The resource database is intended to provide users with a thorough listing of the government agencies, regional and national non-profits, community groups and businesses working on brownfields-related issues in their state and region. This database includes local, state, and federal government offices and programs; businesses; insurers; environmental consultants; web-based resources; community groups; community development corporations; associations; national organizations; and regional organizations.
The database may be searched in several ways:
Users may search for all organizations in a state. A search can be
conducted for all the organizations working in a state, or for a
specific type of organization only. Select your state from the pulldown
bar below, and select an organization type if desired (the default
is all organization types). Click the search button to start your
search.
Please note: This search will find the organizations with offices
in the selected state. For a comprehensive search of organizations
working in your state, please perform a "Nationwide" search
as well.
Please select an Organization Type to search for brownfields organizations.
Organization Type:
Users may search for all organizations in a geographic region. The geographic
regions are defined here, and
have been included as a search so that users may obtain a broader
list of relevant organizations than available by searching in a
single state. Users cannot search for a state and region, only one
or the other. Select your region from the pulldown bar below, and
select an organization type if desired (the default is all organization
types). Click the search button to start your search.
Please note: This search will find the organizations with offices
in the selected region. For a comprehensive search of organizations
working in your region, please perform a "Nationwide"
search in addition.
Users may search for organizations that work on a nationwide
basis. These include companies providing environmental consulting
services or environmental insurance, developers, federal government
programs, and non-profit organizations working across the country.
A search can be conducted for all organizations working nationwide,
or for a specific type of organization only. Select nationwide from
the pulldown bar, and select an organization type if desired (the
default is all organization types).
Users may also search for all organizations of a specific type regardless of location. Select the organization type from the pulldown bar to search for specific types of organizations across the country.
